GroupNome is a utility application intended to help musicians stay in time with one another. All communication between devices is done using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity
Framework. There is no information being shared beyond the information needed to successfully keep the tools in sync. This includes the settings of your metronome as well as the name of your device while hosting or joining sessions. None of this information is being retained and is only transferred from device to device as needed. GroupNome does not connect to the internet. Device names are only exposed to other devices when hosting or requesting to join a session. You can always force quit the app at any time if you no longer wish to have your device name exposed to others.
